The Milazzo Refinery is quickly adapting its Asset Management System to the requirements of ISO 55001. This adjustment has led to both procedural and management improvements.
Moreover, the Milazzo Refinery has successfully experimented with Intergrity Operating Windows (IOW), a technique used to monitor equipment exposed to the phenomenon of deformation of metals subjected to stress and high temperatures.
Thanks to an internally developed software to control the operating temperatures, we promptly know which sections of the system are subject to risk. This allows us to intervene in a targeted and effective way and to carry out inspections only where the operating conditions risk compromising the equipment.
